Spotlight
Magazine, Sacramento, is a full-gloss, 4-color,
bi-monthly (currently free) publication distributed throughout
the Sacramento Valley and beyond. Our Advertising Opportunities
are incredible.
Spotlight discovers creativity and innovation
in art, business, travel, entertainment, health, people,
community and more. We strive to entertain and promote the
creative thinkers and doers of Sacramento and our surrounding
communities. We believe in supporting our arts, businesses
and charities.
What makes us different?
We are rising from humble beginnings, sharing the vision
of promoting emerging artists and established stars in our
community. Our publisher is a guitarist, vocalist and a
composer, and our editor was a school teacher with her own
talented children to inspire her. We are not just business
people. We truly care about promoting our local community
and economy.
Remaining a free publication, we are not limited in distribution
by retail agreements. Spotlight is distributed
free in countless outlets, including and not limited to
specialty food stores, restaurants, colleges, clubs, theatres,
cafés, book stores, practitioners’ waiting
rooms, expos, workshops, fairs, etc. Our publication is
placed where there is high-traffic and high-visibility.
We have delivered residentially, door to door, to help an
advertiser starting a new business in a specific area. Our
publication is offered free in several chains as well (California
Family Fitness Centers, Kovar’s Karate Centers, Jimboy’s,
etc.).
Without having the funding of our competitors, we have to
fight much harder to secure readers by supplying special
editorial and information relevant to our readers and exposure
that is effective for our advertisers.
Certain media will have stronger appeal to some groups
than others. Our content appeals to woman and minorities,
as well as men. We strive to keep a cultural balance in
our pages to mirror our city. The affluent market now represents
more women and minorities than ever before. According to
information compiled by the Magazine Publishers of America,
including data from the U.S. Bureau of Census and Sales
and Marketing Management's Survey of Buying Power, from
1991 to 2000 there was a nearly 200 percent rise in females,
a more than 150 percent increase in African Americans and
Sacramento was named America’s most integrated city
by Time Magazine. Sacramento Spotlight
is proud to represent a city where everyone is in the minority.
We are different because Sacramento Spotlight Magazine
offers broader exposure to a diverse group of Sacramentans
and increased results for our advertisers but, more importantly,
we value our advertisers … we care about their success! |
